TP-LINK TL-WR802N Nano Router Review 17

[section_title title=Introduction]

Introduction

With technology getting smaller and smaller, I was waiting for a time when bulky wireless extenders found their place in the skip yard and not in our homes. Now this product is what I would consider a stepping stone in the right way to bridge portability and wireless connectivity, and let’s face it we live in the wireless age. This product was designed to be sleek, small, and highly portable. It  runs on a minimal power source making it also incredibly energy efficient, something I consider very important with a product that could, in theory, be used around the clock. This review is going to be quite long, so let’s have a read of what TP-LINK have to say about the WR802N.
What TP-LINK have to say:
The TL-WR802N is designed for use with tablets, smartphones, handheld game consoles and other portable electronic wireless devices. This compact router – which can be powered by an external power adapter or USB connection to a computer – can conveniently connect to the Internet and share the connection around an average sized room at up to 300Mbps. The compact size makes it ideal for use on the road and is powerful enough to satisfy almost any basic wireless application requirement. The TL-WR802N is the perfect travel companion for anyone who needs fast, easy Internet access on the go. For the business traveller, simply plug your hotel room’s Ethernet cable into the Nano router, enter a default password and instantly create a wireless hotspot.

The TL-WR802N benefits from flexible power; being able to be powered by an external power adapter or via a USB connection to a computer. When travelling, users can plug the TL-WR802N into a computer’s USB port and share the Wi-Fi connection with family and friends. The TL-WR802N supports Router (default), Repeater, Client, AP and WISP modes to enable various wireless applications and to give users a more dynamic and comprehensive wireless networking experience. The Nano router provides WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryptions, which can effectively and protect the wireless network. What makes the Nano router more powerful is its Pre-Encryption function which sets the initial SSID and password for users to protect their wireless security.
