Closer Look
Here is the mouse up close.
From the top down we obviously have an M65 but we now of course have the Corsair Gaming logo here. The whole top parts of the mouse have a nice soft touch style coating to it too which I’m always a fan of.
The left hand side of the mouse features two thumb buttons and the large sniper button. The sniper button is pretty nicely implemented and easy to press regardless of grip type used.
The right hand side of the mouse is featureless but to me the finger rest here isn’t large enough and leaves fingers dragging across the mouse mat which is never ideal.
Here we have the DPI up/down buttons (with LED indicator) and the scroll wheel with its nice rubber grip. The M1/2 buttons are virtually flat though and offer little finger support which makes the mouse feel less ‘secure’ in hand.
Here is the underside of the mouse. We have a gorgeous aluminium finish here which I like a lot and of course we also have the five contact pads, the removable weights and the opening for the sensor.
Finally here is the USB connector which like the H1500 confusingly sports the sails logo and I’m not really sure why its red but it does at least make it easy to find down the back of the PC!
So the M65 RGB is a very nice looking mouse but immediately I can see there are going to be some comfort problems for me personally, more on that later though, let’s take a quick look at one of Corsairs mouse mat offerings.
