Conclusion

Now we will move on to the final section of this review, the conclusion, whereby we round-up the Element Gaming Beryllium Mechanical Keyboard as a whole.

To start with, we have a mid price range mechanical keyboard from Element Gaming that features some cool additions and good build quality. Using red Kailh mechanical switches, there is a slight difference compared to Cherry MX but still feels excellent to use. The keycaps are of a solid construction and don’t take away from the feel of the switch.

The general construction of the keyboard, from the plastic under section to brushed stainless steel top, is magnificent and as for price vs quality it is a relief to the wallet. Once the rubber wrist support is installed, it still feels sturdy even through it is only attached by 2 press studs to the rear of the keyboard. The backlit LEDs are bright and the pre-configured options for lighting, brightness and trace feature is very well created, working well in a variety of light levels and environments.

The only downsides we can see to this keyboard, however, is the lack of programmable keys which would certainly expand the market a little more due to it being a great keyboard for use on Strategy/MMORPG platforms. Also, when under heavy use we did notice a slight squeak to the keyboard but will put this due to being brand new. We will bed the keyboard in more then once we have a definitive answer, go ahead and change this review.

All-in-all, we have to say that the Element Gaming Beryllium keyboard is a masterpiece of a keyboard for the money, with very minimal negatives compared to the positives. Functionality wise it is great to work with, even with the lack of programmable keys. The audio controller is a great addition to the keyboard and something not seen very often! We hope to see more from Element Gaming on the market in the near future!
