[section_title title=Closer Look]Closer Look

Taking a closer look and we will start with the packaging as usual. The packaging for the Flash Voyager GTX is very minimal and rightfully so, it is only a USB drive so bulky packaging is not needed. On the front we have our Corsair branding as well as reassurance that we have a Flash Voyager GTX in 128GB form. It also goes on to inform us this is a USB3.0 device but is backwards compatible with USB2.0 and offers SSD like speeds.

The back of the packaging again lets us know the Flash voyager GTX uses Solid-State drive technology and offers super-fast data transfer speeds and we can even see some results from benchmarks Corsair have ran on the USB drive. Towards the bottom of the packaging we have our normal line-up of FFC logos and it also lets us know the Flash Voyager GTX comes with a 5 year limited warranty which speaks highly of how much faith Corsair have in their products.

Looking at the Flash Voyager GTX out of the packaging, it has an aluminium body that is offset with red plastic which I feel is a real nice design. The Aluminium will also help to dissipate heat when using the device for a prolonged amount of time. It also looks like the back-end was designed to maybe fit on a lanyard or something similar if you do not snap the cap onto it.

Taking the cap off and revealing the USB3.0 end of the drive we have a few sets of numbers. I can only imagine these are in place to add an extra bit of security and protection should the need arise for a warranty claim. As previously noted the Flash Voyager GTX comes with a 5 year warranty so Corsair will have to take extra precautions, especially on a device of this nature.
