Test Setup
CPU:Â Intel Core i7-4770K @4.5GHz
CPU Cooler: Cryorig C1
Motherboard:Â ASUS Z97-K
RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 2400 MHz CL10 8GB (2x4GB)
PSU: SuperFlower 450w
OS:Â Windows 7 Premium 64 bit
Methodology:
All benchmarks are done on a fresh install of Windows 7 Premium 64-bit that is fully up-to-date with Windows Updates to ensure that the performance reflects a real-world scenario and not that of a tweaked benchmarking system. Every benchmark runs for a total of three times and then an average is taken of those results.
Benchmarks:
AS SSD – 4K read and write speeds & sequential read and write speeds
ATTO Disk Benchmark – Sequential read and write speeds
Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 – Sequential read and write speeds
Corsair Comparison:
For the comparison portion of the review I decided to test the Flash Voyager GTX against a normal USB 3.0 flash drive, the Flash Voyager 3.0 and a SSD, The Corsair Neutron 128gb. I felt this would be a good comparison as the Flash Voyager GTX is the end result of combining the other 2 devices on test. I thought this would help to further visualize the overall performance.
