AMDs latest high-end GPU architecture has been on the cards for a while now, there have been plenty of leaks and rumours over the past few weeks and months and we are all eager to see just what AMD can come up with.

In their recent Q1 Fiscal report AMD CEO Lisa Su gave the following statement “AMD’s “Vega” GPU architecture is on track to launch in Q2, and has been designed from scratch to address the most data- and visually-intensive next-generation workloads with key architecture advancements including a differentiated memory subsystem, next-generation geometry pipeline, new compute engine and a new pixel engine.”

So we should be seeing Vega by the end of June, this is certainly an exciting year for AMD and we hope that Vega will be able to live up to the expectations.
