Project Cars Competition

All the PC’s set up in the main area were running project cars so any event goers could take a turn and try to see if they could get the best lap. All in there were 4 systems running it while I was there with a few people taking turns on them. Users could make use of the mouse and keyboard as standard PC peripherals, or, the crowd favourite seemed to be the Xbox 360 controller. Let’s just take a minute to admit, that even as the PC master race, racing games are not that good when trying to play them on a keyboard. Users could also make use of the Cloud II gaming headsets at each station if they wanted to try and drown out the sound of the rest of talking so they could concentrate a bit better.

The grand prize was a nice PC that somehow seems to have eluded my photos. However, there were also daily prizes were those who took turn could take a chance at winning something. I did sit down myself and ran about 3 laps, none of them close to being a top score so I didn’t even record them but they were all around 2min20sec laps or so. I was happy with it but was easily beaten by others there!
