It’s not very often that games let us play as little old ladies, but The Tale of Doris and the Dragon – Episode 1 is a point and click adventure game that lets you do just that. You play as the titular Doris who having died is in purgatory, beyond that everything is revealed as you play.
It’s a game in the classic point and click mould, with puzzles and problems to overcome instead of narrative decisions. Trying to invoke the classic styles of Monkey Island and Space Quest is a tall order. But can Arrogant Pixel pull it off?
