Conclusion
Capturing the feel of the classics was never going to be easy, but the Tale of Doris and the Dragon – Episode 1, feels like those old school point and clicks. Every item you can interact with is important, even if not immediately obvious. Doris has just the right amount of charm and sarcasm to be funny without feeling forced. Puzzles for the most part are straightforward, except for the required goat puzzle. But that’s one out of dozens and can be completed with patience.
The real star isn’t the graphics but the script, there’s over 700 lines of dialogue and it’s fun replaying to find new lines. Even though Doris and the Dragon is a short game it’s worth the small asking price. The only downside is this is the first episode and I need more.
