Ok so we have all seen this coming, but finally it’s here. Elder Scrolls is one of the biggest gaming series so when they announced Elder Scrolls Online would have subscription fees as well as costing between $59.99- $99.99 for the game its self it is safe to say they lost a few followers. Now just after nine months of being subscription only they are dropping it.
With their new Tamriel Unlimited, coming to console on June 9th and PC/Mac on March 17th, 2015, you will no longer be required to pay a monthly game subscription to play. The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited includes all the great gameplay from the original PC/Mac game, plus all the updates and content additions, including the exciting new Justice and Champion systems. If you’ve ever played ESO, you’ll be invited to return to the game and experience everything new in the world without game subscription fees. If you’re new to ESO, you’ll make a one-time purchase of the game and then continue playing without restrictions for as long as you like.
I played beta for ESO and I loved it, the game was great to play solo but once you had a few friends the world came to life, but even while sat there loving the way it felt I knew that I wouldn’t pay $14.99 a month after buying it. It’s not because it wasn’t worth it but simply everyone know it would go free to play, I said about 11months or on the year anniversary. One thing is safe to say, I am getting this I don’t even think there was ever a question about it once it goes free to play.
