CD Projekt Red have announced the release date for their upcoming title “The Witcher Battle Arena”. The recently announced free-to-play MOBA will be coming to Android iOS on January 22nd.
The game was co-developed by both CD Projekt Red and Fuero Games, and is a game focused solely on the mobile community. The games features 3-on-3 battles and will bring with it characters from the Witcher world. The rumoured characters are Kings Letho Gulet, the sorceress Philippa Eilhart, and the Dwarven adventurer Zoltan Chivay. There is a rumour that the game doesn’t include the series protagonist Geralt of Rivia, which for me is a weird choice.
The game is set to follow the usual pattern of a free-to-play game that has in app purchases. But just like most games in this genre, you can unlock all the games unlockables just by playing the game. The game was actually released in Canada last month as a soft launch. It is a free way of getting a game tested without having a mass feedback session with gamers.
