Kerbal Space Program Gets Release Date - 27th April

That’s right, the popular rocket/space sim Kerbal Space Program is due to finally leave early access status on Steam after 4 years of continued development by indie developer “Squad”. The release date is sooner than anticipated, with it due to hit version 1.0 on the 27th April.

The announcement was made on the game’s forum alongside with a short youtube clip showing that they have also included female Kerbals as part of the 1.0 release. Ever since the game was released it has continued to be a hit within the Steam community.

For those of you not aware of the game, the idea behind it is to design your own rockets and spacecraft and explore the Kerbal solar system, finding new planets along the way. Originally the game started as a large sandbox but the developers have worked hard to streamline a campaign with missions and limited resources.

Now i’ve played the early access version and it is extremely addictive, although it can be very hard when you step foot into the workshop for the very first time. However it’s definitely worth checking out. Have you played this one through early access? As always we are keen to get your thoughts, comments and feedback.
