First up we’ve got the packaging itself. Being a budget solution the CX475 is really quite small and compact and something you’d fine on a rail in a Currys, PC World and the like.
The rear of the packaging isn’t too verbose either. We get a simple rundown of the features and specs of the CX475.
With the paper outer-sleeve removed you’re presented with the plastic packaging itself. Although there isn’t a significant amount of padding – and it isn’t really needed – there is no reason to expect the box or the earphones themselves to be damaged in transit.
The earbuds of the CX475 themselves are quite small. Sennheiser have stuck with their typical all black approach with the only dashes of colour being the silver paint used for the lettering.
The cable itself should be long enough for most people without being too tight or likely to snag. The cable itself breaks into the left and right channels from a box with the CX475 model on show. There are no in-line volume controls although that shouldn’t be a surprise at this price point.
The right-angled jack should better facilitate you, presumably, dropping your phone in upside down so when you take it out it’s the right way up.
