Starting out with the packaging of the 9H, it comes in a black and orange box which also matches the colour of this particular headset.  It has the Steelseries logo in the bottom right hand corner with a large illustration of the 9H on the front.  In the top right corner, we have the Dolby logo as the 9H supports Dolby Pro Logic IIx; this should improve the audio quality greatly.

The rear features the same design as the rest of the packaging, but we have more information regarding specifications and feature as well as more about the Dolby support.  All over the packaging, Steelseries seem to aim this towards competitive gaming although if it’s good for pro gamers, it is definitely good for everyone else!

Inside the box, we have a black plastic insert which contains the following accessories:

1 x Instruction manual

1 x SteelSeries sticker

1 x Headphone/microphone splitter

1 x cable to connect to the USB sound card

1 x SteelSeries USB sound card

1 x 3.5mm with in-line controls (for MP3/mobile devices

There are plenty of accessories included and I really like how SteelSeries have added compatibility with multiple devices such as mobiles, tablets and even MP3 players.  With a retractable mic, this should make them more versatile than regular gaming headset; in my opinion of course!

Also included as mentioned, is a SteelSeries USB Sound card (identical to the one featured with the Siberia Elite) which allows you to connect your headset to your PC without the need for an internal soundcard.  You can connect it that way if you wish but I will be testing it today via the provided USB sound card.
