Taking the PANGU SW-RD out of the box and we can see the front has a nice mesh design to it to help allow for better airflow throughout the case, they have also gone ahead and added a bit of mesh to the outside edges. The front features two 5.25″ drive bays and a small emblem with the DEEPCOOL logo on it towards the bottom.
The mesh panel that is under the 5.25″ drive bays is easily removable and will then allow users a chance to add some fans to the front of the case or if need be, the whole front panel can also be taken off to allow a bit more access to the fan area.
Taking a look at the sides and the main side panel has a nice big window for viewing the hardware that will be put in the case. One thing I personally am not a fan of is the vented areas here as while they will help with performance and temperatures they ruin the aesthetics for me and if you do decide to actually install a fan inside the top spot it will also block the view through to the inside. The back side panel is of course blank and just black in colour with no raised areas.
The back has the standard feature we would hope to see from a case of this type. It has a pre-installed exhaust fan seven PCI expansion bays and of course cutouts for both the motherboard and bottom mounted power supply.
The top of the case is where the front IO can be found and it features: a pair of USB 2.0 and a pair of USB 3.0 ports, audio jacks (mic/headphone) and the power and reset buttons. Also on the top is a mesh panel that can be removed so users can go ahead and install a couple of fans in the top. One thing I am a bit disappointed with is the fact that while there is a nice place to put a couple of fans, there is no real support for any AIO coolers or radiators in this spot as there is no room for water cooling tubes. Now this doesn’t go to say that depending on your internal components you couldn’t just go ahead and put the radiator on the inside of the case and a couple of fans pulling the air out, but I personally feel there was a missed opportunity here.
As mentioned the PANGU SW-RD comes with a pair of LED stripes and a remote control that will allow users to chose between a number of colours and/or modes for the LED lights. To power the LED lights you will require one 4-pin molex connector from your PSU.
