[section_title title=Conclusion]Conclusion

The design of the T60-SFX is definitely unique and second to none, it’s all aluminium frame is lightweight and very durable at the same time. Looking at the outside of it the main piece (the red one in this case) is sort of folded/bent down and acts as both the top and front panels. Taking a look at things from the inside and ID-COOLING have utilized the space as best anyone could.

It really looks to me as if they almost sat the components of a mini-ITX system up on a table and said “How can we wrap some aluminium around this?” Everything has a snug fit inside the case but at the same time every component definitely has its own dedicated spot which still allows for some airflow to make its way through the case. All of the ventilation areas on the T60-SFX were well thought out and placed and the inclusion of the 92mm rear exhaust fan should help keeps things cool as this can be.

The bottom vent that spans across the whole underneath of the case should be sure to make it so the graphics card above will be able to get enough air to keep it cool during those long gaming sessions.  My only real fault with this case is the fact there is no intake fan and while I know there really isn’t much room, I think there definitely is space for a couple of small fans in the front to help get the airflow circulating inside the case.

When considering the performance of the T60-SFX it is hard to grade a case of this size as it really was designed to be as small as possible rather than having the best airflow. The only way I can really think to put it is it performs as it was designed too which is well enough to keep everything within manageable temperatures so none of the components overheat. One thing I can say and as previously mentioned is another fan of some sort would have been amazing, whether in the front, or up top somehow, maybe remove the 3.5″ cage and ad a 120mm fan?

Adding a fan in the top at the rear could make this remarkable case just that much better, it would allow for a much better exhaust system or, if done right it could have been big enough to add some sort of AIO CPU cooler which are currently very popular! I could sit here and nit pick a bit more about the cooling but at the end of the day the aluminium chasis will help dissipate heat and users shouldn’t run into any problems.

The price tag that comes along with the T60-SFX is around $80 which will most likely equate to £60-70 here in the UK as we all know how we get screwed when it comes to electronics pricing. While I cannot confirm the UK pricing I can tell you this, if it is around £60-70 it will be well worth it, especially if it’s at the lower end of the scale.

While this case doesn’t offer any cable management and really none should be expected its size will make it ultra-portable for a LAN rig or if you just need a gaming PC that is easy to carry around for any reason really. Another thing that could be added to the T60-SFX whether by ID-COOLING or on your own would be a handle, this would be super easy to get installed and this would make this the ultimate portable mini gaming case.

When all is said and done the T60-SFX is an amazing mini-ITX case and will see users through hours of gaming. Its compact design means it can be stowed almost anywhere with ease, whether it be behind a TV or in a bag accompanying you on a train or plain trip. ID-COOLING have done a great job on designing such a small case that offers the best in functionality and portability.

Big thanks to the folks at IC-COOLING for sending the T60-SFX in for review and I cannot wait to see what they come out with next!
