MSI X99S MPOWER Motherboard Review

MSI was established in 1986 and at the time mainly focused on Mainboards and Add-on cards. Over the years they have expanded greatly and now have a wide range of products including such things as motherboard, graphics cards, gaming notebooks, all-in-one systems and tablets just to name a few. When it comes to their computer related hardware, MSI works closely with companies such as AMD, INTEL and NVIDIA to make sure they can offer their users exactly what it is that they desire, MSI is also known to sponsor gaming and overclocking competitions around the world.

Today I will be taking a look at one of their newest motherboards based on the X99 chipset, namely the X99S MPOWER. Users who know MSI will know their MPOWER series is designed for overclocking and has a host of features to make sure users can get the most from it. The X99S MPOWER also has all of the amazing features we would hope to see on any X99 based board, support for DDR4 3300(OC)GHz, LGA Socket 2011-3, Ultra M.2 port, SATA Express, USB3, SATA3 and much more.

Before we take a look at my unboxing video, let’s see what MSI have to say about the Overclock features of the MPOWER:

    OC Certified is a military class burn-in test for motherboards. Running Prime95 for over 24 hours with a highly overclocked CPU is already a stressing endeavor, but removing all airflow from the motherboard ensures that only the best motherboards survive. If a motherboard can survive this, it can survive any overclocking situation.
