[section_title title=Introduction]

Brand: Nanoxia
Model: Deep Silence 4
RRP: £64.99

Nanoxia are a company well known to enthusiasts in the UK. The first chassis that they brought to the market in the UK were the magnificent Deep Silence 1 and 2. Having used both of those chassis for some modding, I can tell you they were both magnificent and catered to their targeted market well. Nanoxia have been busy pushing cases out recently, such as the huge Deep Silence 5 and 6. They have also scaled things down with the Deep Silence 4, which is what we have our hands on today.

Featuring the same attention to detail as the Deep Silence 6 with regards to silence, whilst still providing robust cooling, the Deep Silence 4 is Nanoxia’s first foray into the Matx form factor. With its simple, stylish looks, similar to that of the Fractal Design R4, whilst boasting an array of silencing features, is the Deep Silence 4 going to be a contender for a quiet home server or HTPC? Well lets find out! But first a little bit from Nanoxia about the Deep Silence 4.

Here is a little about what Nanoxia have to say about the Deep Silence 4:

The Deep Silence 4 is the most compact case from our next generation of silent PC cases. Despite its compact measurements, the Deep Silence 4 can be fitted with current CPU-coolers and extra-long graphic cards. Two modular HDD-cages guarantee the best possible compatibility for your most demanding projects.

Prominent features of our Deep Silence case series:

  • Classic design – Made in Germany
  • Particularly quiet thanks to its integrated sound dampening system and focused design
  • Highly efficient, stealthy ventilation system
  • Maximum functionality and adaptability

Two 5.25 inch bays for external drives can be found behind the foam insulated front door in the upper part of the case front, as well as a 2-chanel fan control and the reset button. The door is equipped with a magnet to ensure a fast closing and easy opening.

On the front of the top cover you can find the I/O-panel. It offers 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, as well as Mic and Audio connectors. This ensures that appropriate devices can be connected quickly and easily. You can mount Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards in the Deep Silence 4 case. Thanks to the modular HDD-cages you can install VGA-cards with a maximum length of up to 395 mm. When using all the HDD-cages, you can use cards with a length of 365 mm.
