[section_title title=Conclusion]Conclusion
The RAIDMAX Vampire is definitely a monstrosity of a case but does come from a more ‘budget gamer’ orientated company dampen its performance or overall functionality? Let’s see what my final thoughts are.
When it comes to design, RAIDMAX have done a good job and whether or not the outside aesthetics of the case are to your liking there is no denying the inside was thought out and executed nicely. The outside of the case definitely follows that sort of ‘gamer’ look but the inclusion of some of the features like the fan controller and 2.5″ hot swap bay help bring it all together and make it a great functional case. The inside is laid out very well, there is plenty enough room to install anything you may need inside without it getting cramped and the cable management system is on point and will make sure to leave your build looking clean when all is said and done. Let us also not forget the ample room and features to accommodate water cooling gear. I would personally love to see a chassis like the Vampire Winterfall with a more flat front and top on the outside, but that is just my personal opinion on the exterior.
Taking into note the performance aspect of the Vampire Winterfall and it had overall good results. The inclusion of the 200mm front intake fan was a nice touch and should allow for a good amount of airflow to get through the case without causing as much noise as it most likely would have if they had gone with a pair of smaller fans. The Vampire Winterfall shows up near the cooler side of our benchmarks which is amazing and it was only 2.5c off from our coolest case on record when testing on an overclock 4770k!
The Vampire Winterfall also offers good value for the money. While the exterior aesthetics may not be to everyone’s liking there is no denying that the case is very functional, both inside and out. It is chalk full of features that should suit most user’s needs, even those looking to stick some water cooling gear inside. It offers a spacious easy to use layout with plenty of cable management options and the inclusion of a fan controller and 2.5″ hot swap bay on the top side of the case only add to its value. For £80, the RAIDMAX Vampire Winterfall has everything you could want in a case and more. All in all the Vampire Winterfall is an amazing offering for a company best known for budget gaming cases and if you are in the market for a case in its price range which is around £80 here in the UK, you will not be disappointed.
I would like to thank RAIDMAX for sending the Vampire Winterfall in for review and look forward to seeing more from them in the future.
