The box for the RAIDMAX VIPER GX is a bit more flashy than a lot of other cases on the market and there is nothing at all wrong with this. The front of the box features the RAIDMAX logo in the top right corner and a nice image of the case in the middle with a nice background design. Along the bottom is the VIPER GX model name.
Over on the back there are some closer up images of some of the features the VIPER GX has to offer.
On this side of the box we can see the basic specifications that will give users an idea if this is the case for them and if it will have everything they need.
As far as accessories and what is included in the box, aside from the case there are some hard drive rails, a basic screw set, a POST speaker and something I’ve yet to see before but was a pleasant surprise. RAIDMAX has gone and included what appear to be velcro cable ties instead of the normal cable ties most companies include. This is a nice touch and will allow users to reuse them when needed instead of just discarding them for new if they decide to change something in their case.
Taking a look at the front, to me it looks like a cross between a transformer and an alien of some sort. This may not be to everyone’s liking, but remembering RAIDMAX  is said to be one of the best in budget gaming cases, I wouldn’t go expecting anything to be ‘plain’.
Opening up the door on the front of the case will reveal 3x 5.25″ drive bays for users who wish to use optical drives or even bay mounted reservoirs for water cooling.
On the top of the case is where we will find all of the front IO ports and buttons. On the left side are the power and reset buttons while on the right are 2x USB3.0 and the 2x HD Audio inputs have dust covers, a bit different but quite a neat feature really.
Also on the front/top is an external 2.5″ SSD bay. I don’t know many people, if any, that have spare 2.5″ SSDs hanging around and use them as an alternative to USB sticks but if you do, this is for you.
The main side panel has a bit of a unique look to it. Not only does it have the coloured honeycomb window, it also has a raised area that has a very unique design to it. While it may look odd looking from just the side, it does compliment the overall look of the VIPER GX.
The back side panel is a mirror image of the front except for one minor point, the honeycomb window is not here, instead we just have a bit of a raised area where it would go.
