[section_title title=”Closer Look”]Closer Look
Taking a look at the V8 GTS and we can notice its unique design that is meant to replicate that of a car engine. We can see the three fin arrays, one on either side and one smack dab in the middle of the cooler. Also notice the three fans that are between the middle and either outside fin arrays. It is also worth mentioning that while the V8 GTS is not designed to have four fans, I don’t think it would be all that hard to get another two on this behemoth of a cooler.
Taking a look through one of the side fin arrays and we have a bit better look at the fan, well, the best we will get without taking things apart anyways. We can also see the heatpipes that pass through the fins.
Each fan has a 4-pin PWM connector and there is also an LED power connector as well.
One of the things I like and that is quite common with coolers that come with two fans as stock, is the fact they include a fan splitter so the fans only take up one motherboard fan header.
A look at the cooler from the top. This is what will most likely be on show if you mount this in a standard case.
Here we can see all 8 of the heatpipes. Notice how only six of them are coming from the fin arrays on this side, while the other are passing through from the other side. Also in the photo is the vapour chamber / contact plate which will sit atop the CPU and is said to help dissipate heat up to 8x faster!
