Taking a bit closer look at the cooler itself from the top down, Noctua have added their logo to the top and we can also notice the heat pipes pass all the way up through and out of the top fin. There is also a couple of other smaller holes that are designed to help let the hot air dissipate through the top of the cooler.
Looking at the back and sides gives a closer look at the shape of the individual fins themselves, we can also see how the fan on the front is attached to the cooler.
The fan for the U9S is a 90MM PWM fan and features Noctua famous colour scheme.
The U9S features 5 heat pipes that pass through the base plate and up through the top.
There is a nice piece of plastic covering the contact plate to help ensure it doesn’t get scratched or damaged in any way; it is also fairly reflective.
