As mentioned the Kraken X61 features a 280mm radiator, this offers 36% more surface area over the more standard 240mm AIO coolers on the market. This extra room should hopefully allow for a bit better cooling, even if only 1-2 degrees cooler, anything is a help!

The tubing on the X61 is long enough to offer users a number of options when installing it into their case. The actual length of the tubing is 400mm, which is just shy of 16 inches, this will not only make installation much easier, but will also allow for better positioning of the X61 inside the user’s case.NZXT-Kraken-X61-AIO-CPU-Cooler_8

The top of the pump features a nice circular design with the NZXT logo that will light up thanks to the help of some LEDs and can be controlled with the CAM software.

As with a lot of water blocks on AIO coolers, it is made from Copper and comes with the thermal paste pre-applied. I for one have never been a fan of pre-applied thermal paste though I do understand why companies do it as it makes installation a bit easier for normal users. However, a lot of people in this day and age have a preferred paste and while they may want your cooler, they may not want your paste, or, they may just feel a bit better applying it themselves. However, this is not an issue at all, just a personal preference, and again, totally understandable why companies pre-apply their paste.

There are a number of wires that come off of the pump itself, here we can see four 4-pin fan connectors so users can utilize a push/pull configuration on the cooler. Also, we can see a USB connector which will allow users to make use of the CAM software, then there is the SATA and 3-PIN power connectors that will power up the pump and fans.

The FX 140 V2 fans are what is going to help and dissipate the hot air off the radiator and hopefully out of the users case. One thing to mention about these fans is that they are now also available to purchase separately, meaning, you can use them on any radiator you wish. They used to only be available with NZXT AIO coolers, but NZXT has decided they needed to be purchasable on their own. . The FX 140 V2 fans have a nice thick black frame and white fins which will hopefully allow them to fit in with most colour schemes users have for their builds.
