[section_title title=”Closer Look”]Closer Look
The Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM comes very well packed in a nice small box. The front of the box features a nice close up image of the RAM front and center, with a smaller full sized image below. Across the the top we have the Corsair logo on the left and over on the right we can see this is in fact DDR4 16GB (4 x 4) 2666Mhz; while on the bottom we can see the Vengeance LPX name and a couple images lettings us know this is Intel XMP Certified Quad Channel.
On the back of the box is a very short description of what Corsair feel the Vengeance LPX RAM was designed to do, it also goes on to mention the fact that it is backed by a lifetime warranty and with Corsairs excellent support you will have no issues setting up a RMA if the need should arise.
As mentioned it has red aluminium heat spreaders and also features an 8-layer black PCB and has a pin count of 288, 48 more than the previous DDR3 standard which has 240.
The Vengeance LPX range is not only designed to be functional with its aluminium heat spreaders, it is also meant to be aesthetically pleasing and it is; making sure that users will want to have it on display in their rigs!
Across the top and what is most likely going to be the area on show in most builds we can see the word “CORSAIR”. A little branding never hurt anyone, especially from a company as prestige as Corsair.
On the back in the spot we would find the Vengeance LPX logo on the front is a sticker that lets us know more of the technical details of the RAM in hand, this is where users will find things like the full model number, size of the kit each stick belongs to and the rated speeds, voltages and clocks.
