Introduction
- Brand:Â ASRock
- Model:Â Fatal1ty 990FX Killer (AM3+)
- Price: £110.10 (At time of review)
In contrast with all of the news surrounding the new Intel CPUs and AMD APUs, ASRock have decided to remind people that the AM3+ platform and FX CPUs may still be a viable option for gaming and work related tasks. Today we will be looking at the ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer motherboard and let me just say, ASRock knew what they were doing with this board. Being an avid AMD fan, I always like when something like this comes out and was surely eager to get my hands on it and run some tests.
ASRock was formed in 2002 and while they may not have been around the longest, they sure do put in a good effort when it comes to innovation, looks and of course pricing! They are one of the top motherboard manufacturers and do a good job at offering us consumers what we need, killer performance and an even better price!
ASRock are well known for having respectably priced motherboards but is the performance worth the price? I intend to find out.

I have the same ram mentioned above. But I’m having problems the ram won’t work by itself but if I add a stock of my dad’s corsair vengeance it registers all the sticks. If I don’t have this plugged in my computer won’t even start. I’ve tried single channel with each stick but neither work by themselves. Any idea on how to fix this?
