Packaging
First off we will take a look at the packaging. The box seems to be a little bit bigger and definitely a bit heavier than I am used to for an ATX board.
Immediately we can see ASRock have spared no expense in the overall design of the box itself. The front is covered with a lovely background image. On the foreground we have the ASRock and Fatal1ty branding and a fair amount of information about what we can expect from the board and also some of its features.
As you can see the back has a lot going on; giving us some more info on what ASRock feel are some of the best features.
Included inside the box is of course a quick installation guide, software installation manual, drivers disk, I/O shield, nVidia SLI bridge, a screw, a few Sata3 6.0GB/s cables and even a redeemable code for 3 months of use for the Xsplit Broadcasting software.
One thing I noticed when first unboxing the motherboard was the thick foam that was zip tied to the board itself to further protect it from damage. This was of course placed inside the Anti-Static bag to prevent Electrical Static Discharge. This is a big step in the right direction vs the flimsy little piece of pink foam a lot of motherboards have under them for protection.
I have the same ram mentioned above. But I’m having problems the ram won’t work by itself but if I add a stock of my dad’s corsair vengeance it registers all the sticks. If I don’t have this plugged in my computer won’t even start. I’ve tried single channel with each stick but neither work by themselves. Any idea on how to fix this?
