[section_title title=”Introduction”]Introduction

ASRock continues to improve their position as a motherboard manufacturer and is doing a mighty fine job with it. They have even gone as far as to work alongside professional overclockers and gamers to help offers better features and performance pertaining to some of their different ranges of motherboards, one of the lines in mention is the Fatal1ty range of gaming motherboards. The other, the OC Formula range is known for helping overclockers break world records.

Following on from my previous reviews on the ASRock Fatal1ty X99X Killer motherboard and the ASRock Z97 Extreme4 and Extreme6 boards, today I am taking a look at the ASRock X99 Extreme6 motherboard. The X99 Extreme6 is designed to work with the new Haswell-E processors and has support for up to 18-core Xeon processors as well. Some of the main features of the new X99 boards are the support for Ultra M.2 SSDs, 3/4-way CrossFire and SLI (3-way with the Extereme6) and DDR4 RAM support up to 128GB of 3000MHz+(O.C).
