Taking a look at the front of the box and it is nothing short of what we have come to expect from the ASRock Extreme range of motherboards. We are immediately greeted with our Extreme “X” that covers a good portion of the front of the box. Across the top we of course have our ASRock branding to the left and on the right an image to let us know this board features Super Alloy components ensuring it is stable and reliable. Across the bottom we have some images for things ASRock want to immediately bring to consumers attention such as the ASRock APP Shop, Purity Sound 2 and HHD Saver to name a few.
On the back of the box we have a mass of information regarding some of the features we saw on the front and more. ASRock have also taken the time to go into a bit more detail on the back explaining a bit about each of the features they have decided to highlight. There is also an image of the full motherboard with a specifications list right below.
Taking a look inside the box and we are immediately greeted with all of our manuals and accessories.
We have a software setup guide, quick installation guide, ASRock Cloud leaflet and of course a driver DVD which also has an ASRock case badge included inside.
As for included accessories we have: HDD Saver cable, 4x SATA3 6.0GBs cables, NVIDIA SLI bridge, M.2 support screw and the rear panel / back IO plate-shield.
One of my favourite things to see is the foam padding that encases the whole motherboard and when first received is actually zip tied to the motherboard to help prevent damage. I hope in the near future more companies will adopt similar methods of packing as it does add an extra element of security which is always nice, especially when dealing with hardware.
