Taking a quick look at the packaging and the box the X99S SLI comes in has an all black design to match the board inside. On the front of the box we see the MSI logo as well as the X99S SLI PLUS model name with the Intel badge images at the bottom.
There is a bit more going on around the back of the box, though the all black theme remains. The first thing most will likely notice is the image of the X99S SLI PLUS itself which goes on to highlight and give a closer look at some of the features it has to offer, such as USB Steel power designed to help offer better performance for Bitcoin USB ASICs, it’s multi GPU and DDR4 RAM support as well as a bit more info on the OC Engine and M.2 GEN3 x4 port.
Across the bottom is a full specifications list detailing all the X99S SLI PLUS has to offer and so users can make sure that it has what they need. There is also a rear IO view detailing all the ports that will be available on the back of the motherboard and a list of some of the more important features.
Inside the box for accessories there isn’t a whole lot going on and we wouldn’t really expect there to be for what one could consider a budget X99 board. Users will receive 6x Sata3 6.0GBPs cables (Not pictured), user and quick installation guides, SLI bridge, driver CD (though as always, it is recommended to go to the website to get the most up to date drivers), front panel risers that make it easier to install things like the power/reset buttons and the IO shield. This should be enough to cover most user needs and ultimately hopefully saves them a bit of a money by not including unwanted accessories.
