[section_title title=”Closer Look”]Closer Look
Taking the DA500 out of it’s box and on one side we have the same image from the front of the box. This will be the image you see if you install the DA500 with the fan pointing upwards.
If you, like most people i know will be installing your power supply with the fan facing down this will be what you would see. While the information is handy, it is not needed on the power supply. If you have a nice windowed case you most likely would not want this showing on the inside. In my opinion DEEPCOOL should have just put their logo or slogan here, or even both for that matter.
Taking a look at the DA500 from the top down, we can see the clear fan which has a blue LED illumination that comes from it. Also if you will notice the small sticker up in the top right hand corner or the PSU itself, this is the warranty void if removed sticker that is covering one of the screws to take the DA500 apart.
A bit closer look at the DEEPCOOL logo in the middle of the fan and we can also see a tiny bit of the inside.
On the back of the DA500 is where users will plug in the power cord and there is also an on/off switch.
As for connectors most of them are fairly long and should fit most cases, we have:
Mainboard (24Pin) x 1
EPS ATX12V (4+4Pin) x 1
PCI-E (6+2Pin) x 2
SATA x 5
Peripheral (Big 4Pin molex) x 3
Should be just enough connectors for a system needing this wattage of power supply.
As mentioned the DA500 has a blue LED illuminating fan. This should emit a nice glow from under the bottom of a PC chassis or inside the chassis for that matter, depending on your user preference.
