[section_title title=Conclusion]Conclusion

So now that all the testing of the Infinity Achilles Pro SE system has been complete, what are my final thoughts on this sub-Ā£1K system?Ā  Is it good value for money and importantly does it justify Cyberpower’s use of the ā€œproā€ moniker?

Well starting with the performance, I was quite surprised to see such a system hold it’s own against another system that was double the price. Ā When comparing it to the last system I reviewed, the Ultima Wrath from Overclockers UK, it did extremely well in the aspect that matter – gaming.Ā  Only in higher resolutions when the extra grunt of the dual GPU AMD 7990 was even relevant, did the Ultima Wrath manage to pull ahead. At half the cost this makes the Infinity Achilles Pro SE System extremely good value for money in comparison to the much more expensive Ultima Wrath. As for the difference in synthetic benchmarks, there were only differences due to the Cyberpower Infinity Achilles only having an i5 4670K and 1600MHz of memory but in terms of performance, it is still a very impressive offering given the price of the overall build. Ā What was striking though was how the system scored overall in PC Mark 7 against the Ultima Wrath. The scores were within a hair of each of meaning that the system performs fantastically as an entire package for basically half the price.

Moving onto aesthetics, the Corsair 200R is a really nice and sleek looking case in my opinion and although it is windowless, I can really see the appeal of using this rather sleek case.Ā  Given that the entire build is built from entry level parts such as the ASUS Z87-K motherboard and the Corsair CX600M 600w power supply. I feel that Cyberpower could have used better more pricier parts as a baseline. Regardless the parts that were chosen are more than capable of doing the job while remaining reliable so this isn’t too big of a complaint. On the bright side, Cyberpower does offer the ability to change core components around such as the case, cooler and motherboard so at the very least Cyberpower allows for a flexible system configuration despite the original parts.Ā  This is a great service and I honestly want all system builders to offer a flexible service like the one Cyberpower offers not only because it allows for a good amount of choice but also because it allows for further customization. A side note I’d like to make is regarding the color coordination. It’s rather incongruous to have a gold colored motherboard with a brown PCB and a bright red GPU cooler and conflicting blue RAM. It’s not a big issue to be honest, but I think coordinating the colors adds an extra touch of professionalism that would make this system even more compelling.

In terms of functionality, this system is more than adequate with the i5 4670k. The included processor can easily handle tasks such as encoding and gaming with ease, and despite it’s lack of hyperthreading, the processor is perfectly adequate given the price of the system. As far as the system goes, it’s very capable of doing most work with perhaps the exception of some extremely multi-threaded applications.

In regards to how this system was presented, I also had a closer look at the component selection screen on the website for this system. Turns out, the Cyberpower website is actually rather attractively designed and also rather helpful especially with their included power measurement tool which gauges how powerful a system is based off of their analysis.Ā  Although this isnā€™t a part of the system, the way which Cyberpower advertises and sells their systems is yet another testament to their commitment to quality that I felt should be shared.

Now down to the most important part of this system in my opinion, the price.Ā  The price is very good for what you get; you get a capable graphics card in the form of the AMD R9 280x, a powerful CPU in the Intel i5 4670K and honestly a rather well thought out combination of parts. The fact that the CPU which is also overclocked to a hefty 4.4GHz is another added bonus that adds even more to the value proposition of the system. Ā For Ā£999, you canā€™t really go wrong and in comparison to the system it was up against, the Ultima Wrath which costs nearly double that of the Infinity Achilles Pro SE. What can I say about the system? You get a real bargain.Ā  Even the cable management is top quality and a lot of top quality work has gone into making the system the complete package that it is.

Overall the Cyberpower Infinity Achilles Pro SE system combines good craftsmanship with great components. All of this combined makes for a very capable system that can accomplish many different tasks that range from gaming to encoding. Ā All in all, this system is a great starting point for anyone looking for a powerful PC for under Ā£1K. Ā Based on that I feel it rightly deserves the value award and given how it performs for its price, I feel it is also worthy of the performance award.

Thanks to Cyberpower for sending the system in for review and I look forward to seeing more in the near future!

Summary

The Infinity Achilles Pro SE is a top quality system from a top quality company (Cyberpower). For under Ā£1K, you get one hell of a system which has enough oomph in its belly to spit fire and breathe awesomeness and with the ability to customise the components to suit you, I feel Cyberpower are onto a winner and anyone who buys this system should feel like one also!
