Closer Look – Exterior
Externally, the first thing you will notice is the NZXT case; specifically the gorgeous NZXT Noctis 450 which we have previously reviewed HERE. Not only is this a premium mid tower case, but after adding premium components inside such as the MSI GTX 980, Intel Core i7 6700k and the 16GB of HyperX Fury 2133MHz, it’s easy to see why it has the moniker “Pro GT” in the name.
The front panel I/O on the NZXT Noctis 450 is featured at the top right (at the front) and consists of 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports and 1 set of 3.5mm audio jacks; these are for a headphone and microphone. These are pre-installed into the motherboard by Cyberpower via the relevant headers.
With all Cyberpower PC’s, to show pride in their work and ability, each build comes with a Cyberpower PC’s logo/case badge; this is simply stuck on and can be removed if you so wish, but why would you want to?!?!
On the rear of the case, we have the rear I/O for the system which is provided by the lovely and capable ASUS Z170-A Gaming ATX motherboard. It has a variety of connections available which include the following:
2 x USB 3.0 ports
2 x USB 2.0 ports
1 x USB 3.1 Type-A port
1 x USB 3.1 Reversible Type-C port
1 x PS/2 port (Keyboard/Mouse)
1 x HDMI port
1 x Display Port
1 x DVI port
1 x VGA port
1 x RJ45 Ethernet port
8 Channel Realtek ALC892 Audio /w Optical S/PDIF
Fantastic support with USB 3.1 and on-board video connections, but 4 rear USB ports in total is a little lacklustre; 8 USB ports are available if you combine the rear and front panel together which isn’t too bad I guess, but USB ports soon fill up with all your devices such as headsets, webcams etc.
