AUDIO AND GRAPHICS
The audio in Hatred is alright, it’s not up there with some of the best audio you’ll find in gaming today, but it does the job it has to. Audio throughout this game isn’t overly important to be honest, all you really hear is gunshots, screaming, the character you are talking and explosions really, it’s not something that needs a master to create. The music used in the game is actually rather ominous and it does add to the game, it does add a bit more grime to the game which makes it grimmer than it is already…
Graphics is where this game does really shine, it really took advantage of the Unreal Engine 4 and pushed it and this game turned out looking fantastic. Â If you want a really good looking twin stick shooter, this is likely the game you should go for, it really is artistically great to look at, even if the source subject isn’t really that appealing. This runs on ultra with my set up, and looks like it would run on most set ups on medium to high settings, so you wouldn’t have to worry about whether your system would run it or not, so that’s always a plus. The explosions are where the game seems to shine, mostly because when it happens, you’re hit with a very vibrant splash of colour, and shows the effects really well! Sadly, though, they should have put a little more work into the main characters hair… It just looks god awful, like he’s wearing a really bad plastic wig or something, something should have been done about that, nevermind the fire!
