Following on from our CM Storm Resonar review we’ve got some more tangle-free earphones in the form of the Groovez ZIP earphones. Groovez are certainly an under the radar company compared to many other brands we cover but that isn’t to say they should be overlooked. The selling point is in the product name, that is, the cable is actually a zip to aid in keeping the ZIP tangle free without resorting to the usual flat cable that most competing solutions offer.

What Groovez say about the ZIP:
These fashionably designed Groovez stereo earphones feature an ingenious zip design, the perfect solution for tangle free cables. Perfect for most MP3 players, smartphones, tablets or audio devices with a 3.5mm audio connection. The 3.5mm gold plated jack will give a great sound quality. With a built-in microphone and an answer / end call button for easy hands free conversation.
As you can see the specifications are fairly standard and don’t do much to distance themselves from the crowd at this price point. The inclusion of some remote controls certainly adds to the accessibility and usability of the ZIP beyond them just being tangle free. At £20 they appear to be a less known, yet feature rich equivalent of the CX475 we reviewed earlier this year, but are the ZIP more than that?
