Closer Look: Exterior
In this section we take a quick look at the exterior design of the case, firstly I want to point out what a breath of fresh air a case with a rear mounted 120mm fan is, directly mounted above the socket we get a great amount of air being pulled away from the CPU and allows AIO coolers to exhaust the air rather than intake like the Sugo SG13. However will lose some of that awesome cooling for cards that intake air via the front of the GPU but with small form factor cases you can’t have everything.
On either side of the case the panels are attached using small screws which nicely hide away once fully installed, you can also see the feet use small rubber standoffs to ensure grip to the surface it’s sitting on.
Another nice feature is the ability to access the PSU from underneath the case should you need to manually turn it off, cases like the Xigmatek Octans often forget about this and it does help should your computer lock up entirely.
On the bottom of the case we can also see the mounting holes for attaching SSD’s, these have washers to ensure they don’t scratch the case when installing, however, please note you’ll require slightly longer screws. if you do lose the ones included
The entire case looks like brushed aluminium with clean glossy panels that are slightly tinted and reflect almost everything, I really liked this and it was very pleasing on the eyes.
On the front of the case, we can see the logo and further glossy panels. It’s worth noting the top IO port has a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 port.
In this last picture I wanted to compare “Plastic brushed aluminium” to the Atomics really nice panels, as you can see they are worlds apart in terms of quality and this case is amazing for the price.
