[section_title title=Conclusion]Conclusion
Jumping right into the performance of the S340 and it should come as no surprise that it faired very well. For 1, it is an NZXT case and 2, the design is of the case allows for optimal looks and performance. The s340 comes with 2 x exhaust fans and leaves the front of the case open for users to install their own intake system, whether it be a radiator of some sort or just a couple of fans, the options are there and it comes with a dust filter to help make sure the inside of the case stays as clean as it possibly can. Even without installing any intake fans the design allows for a good amount of airflow and does a good job at keeping things fairly cool.
The design of the S340 is outstanding, and only second to one, its older brother as I like to call it the H440. NZXT have taken power supply covers to a new height and incorporated them into the S340 and also allowed room to hide those old 3.5″ hard drive most of us wish we could say we no longer used. As for the SSDs there is a place right front in centre on the bottom of the case to show off 2 of them to gain some further bragging rights as if owning the case wasn’t enough. One of the things I really enjoyed seeing was the unique design to hide the cables that had to come into the main part of the case to connect to the motherboard and GPU. NZXT have added a white bar that hides a nicely sized cutout that essentially makes it easier to get the cables right where you want them instead of having to use pre-determined cutouts.
Let us also not forget about the exterior of the case which is simple and elegant all at the same time. There is not a whole lot going on but the white gloss does bring a feeling of elegance to the S340 and the big window in the main side panel to allow for users to show off their hardware inside is always welcome, especially in a case where it is so easy to hide the cables that even a 1st time builder will be left with a nice clean looking build when done.
Last but not least and to seal the deal off of making you definitely want to purchase the NZXT S340 is the price. For £55, you are getting almost a mini-replica of what was considered one of the best all-around cases of 2014, the H440. The S340 comes in as a more budget-friendly version but has most of the main features, without the flash of the H440 though it still looks the part. This case offers exceptional value and as such will be awarded our prestigious Value Award among others. For the price, you will be hard pressed to find a case that has as much to offer that the S340 does, hands down it’s as simple as that.
I would like to thank NZXT for sending the S340 in for review and look forward to seeing what they will come out with next!
