Conclusion
Silverstone have designed and built a wonderful case in the Kubai KL05Q and it has been a pleasure to work and build in it.
The case is large enough for most people needs, with ample water cooling and cable management options. Tool free HDD and optical bays, the 2 x SSD mounts on the rear of the case, and the overall sleek look make this a case I would happily recommend to people on a budget who want the pedigree of a manufacturer like Silverstone.
The thermal performance of the case was about on the money, I only wish there was another exhaust fan included to lower those temperatures a little more. That being said, it’s still a strong performer and by no means a deal breaker! It’s a classic tower design and it does looks very sleek. With it’s a black colour scheme and minimalist looks it’s sure to stay in fashion for a good few years.
If you are looking for a tower style case on a budget, then the Silverstone Kubai Kl05-Q is certainly worth a look. Its Sub £50 price and huge insides make it seriously good value for money.
As I have said, I do wish Silverstone had included another fan but I won’t let it take anything away from this awesome case and will happily award the Play3r Silver award.  There is also a windowed version (KL05B-W) which can also be found at Scan Computers if you prefer.
Summary
Pros:
– Has timeless looks
– Great price all things considered
– Plenty of room internally
Cons:
– Only 1 x fan included
– 15mm of clearance at the back for cable management may become an issue in “busier” builds
– No rubber grommets for cable management which is disappointing
