As mentioned the Raven RV05 has some serious sharp lines and angles going on all over it and the front is a perfect example of this in my opinion. Keeping things plain in a sense of the word, the front is all black and aside from the lines and angles it only features the Raven logo towards the top. One thing that may be easy to overlook is the slot on the right-hand side that is designated for a slimline slot loading optical drive.

On the top of the case is where the front IO can be found and it consists of power and reset buttons, two USB3.0 ports and the audio jacks (mic/headphone). The top ventilation grill can also be removed and reveals what would normally look like the back of the case but since the RV05 has a 90 degree rotated motherboard tray, the back is now the top! This design should allow for better thermal performance and heat exhaustion and while it may take a little bit of getting used to, should fare well for the RV05.

The lines and angles keep flowing through to the sides and so much so that it also looks as if the whole case is slanted. Due to the 90 degree rotated motherboard tray the placement of the window on the side panel may look off at first but once you start building in the RV05 you’ll soon realize SilverStone knew what they were doing.

The rear side panel looks similar to that of the front, just without the window which is of course understandable as no one really wants to look at all those cables and wires anyway.

The image below is actually of the rear of the RV05 though it looks like it should be the bottom. Again the 90 degree rotated motherboard tray comes into play and is playing tricks on our minds. The fan filter is covering the vented area that the power supply will use for its air intake.

The bottom of the case has a nice dust filter that runs the length of the case that resembles the ventilation area on the top and is helping to protect two 180mm intake fans. I can’t help but thinking this case would be fun to mod, with its unique design there are a plethora of options and things that could be done to it.
