ID-COOLING IS 40 and IS 60 CPU Cooler Review 30

[section_title title=”Introduction”]

Introduction

The saying “Go big, or go home” doesn’t apply to everything, especially in the PC world. A lot of time, smaller is better and as such, that leaves companies trying to accommodate for smaller components. While a lot of people love big PC’s with multiple graphics cards and a super water cooling loop in them, just as many people want a small PC that is near silent. m-ITX builds are a favourite by many, trying to pack as much power into a build as small as you can is a task all in its own. This leaves companies such as ID-COOLING up to the task of trying to keep their PC’s and most importantly, their CPU’s cool.

Today I will be taking a look at not one, but two, air CPU coolers designed for users who prefer the smaller side of PC components. ID-COOLINGs IS 40 and IS 60 CPU coolers are designed for those looking to build an ITX system and as such are both top-down coolers to reduce the space they take up. While both of these coolers are designed for ITX builds, the IS 60, as the name would suggest is a bit bigger and should offer a bit better performance, which is key for coolers of this size.

The box for the IS 40 has a nice image of the cooler on the front, and looking around the box users will be able to find the information they would need to decide if this is the cooler for them or not.

As this is an ITX based cooler, there is not a need for as much installation hardware and it only comes with a  few screws, thermal paste, mounting brackets, and the installation guide.
