The two new additions to the NF-A9 range are the PWM and FLX versions. The PWM version is of course designed to be controlled by motherboard that have a 4-pin fan header but it also comes with an adapter to reduce the RPM from 2000 to 1550 which will also help reduce noise if need be.
If you look at the illustrations for connectors when opening the flaps on both new 90mm versions you will see there are definitely a couple of different connectors in each box which is the main difference between the versions.
All of the fans come in plastic packaging inside the box which keeps everything separated and will help to ensure it doesn’t get damaged.
Noctua is well known for including plenty of accessories with their fans and they have not let us done here. As mentioned all fans will come with vibration-compensators, screws and an array of connectors that will be model specific.
Again, my handy dandy .50P piece to the rescue, while it’s not a great comparison for the bigger fans it was nice to see it compared to the 40mm variant.
By now I am sure it has become quite apparent that all of the fans follow the same colour/design scheme which may not be everyone’s cup of tea but when you remember the performance it will make it a bit easier to swallow. On the back of the fans is a small sticker in the middle with the model number and some of the voltage ratings and of course the extra vibration protection can be found on each corner where the fan will screw into the case.
