[section_title title=”Conclusion”]Conclusion
Jumping right into the performance as this is what I was most excited to see once I had got my hands on the Macho 90. If you look back at the benchmark results the Macho 90 faired quite well, especially considering its size and some of the competition it was going up against. Even when being pushed to the limits of trying to tame an overclocked 4770K the Macho 90 manages to hold its own with a Delta temperature of just 54.75c, this is quite an impressive feat for such a small cooler and is great to see. As mentioned the Macho 90 beat out a lot of coolers bigger than it and I personally think it may be down to those little holes/pulled back tabs in the fins that allow for extra heat dissipation, whatever it is, Thermalright has figured it out and is doing it right.
Onto the design and it follows in the footsteps of the Family and is like a mini-me to the Macho Rev. B except for the smaller size of course and the different fan that needs to be used due to this. The Macho series has done very well in my testing and it comes it all comes down to the design, somewhere or another Thermalright have found a little secret that is allowing these coolers to have amazing performance. Is it really down to the special design of the fins? Or have Thermalright found a new metal that allows heat to dissipate from it ridiculously well? Well, I will let you be the judge but I have my assumptions.
The Macho 90 offers great value for the money, coming in at just €29.99 which is an astounding price for the performance it has to offer. While it may be designed for Mini-ITX systems it can handle quite a bit more and will be a good choice even if users are just looking for a cooler that is a bit smaller to fit inside their case. Also, worth noting something which I feel adds to the value is the screwdriver Thermalright have thrown in, that bad boy is one of my favourite screwdrivers I have ever come across. For the money you are getting a great little cooler that you won’t have to worry if it will be up to the task or now, as you can see from our results that it is.
When it comes down to it the Thermalright Macho 90 is a great choice whether you will be using it on a mini-ITX build as it is designed for or if you are just looking for something a bit smaller or even if it just happens to fall into your price range.
I would like to thank Thermalright for sending the Macho 90 in for review and look forward to see what they come out with next.
Summary

– Smaller size allows it to fit in more builds
– Great performance for size
– Easy to Install
