Getting it all out of the box and while red is far from being on my lists of colours I like at all it is hard to deny that this is a pretty nice looking motherboard. As always ASRock have done a great job offsetting all the colours to one another, the read heatsinks look amazing on top the black PCB while the red/black DIMM and PCI slots are offset nicely with white retention clips.
The heatsinks have a nice sparkle to them and unfortunately these pictures do not capture them in their full essence.
Getting in a bit closer to have a look around and lets start of with the RAM DIMMS, the DIMMS are capable of handling 8x sticks of 3000+Mhz(OC) DDR4 RAM totalling up to 128GB with. The nice thing about the ram is not only are the offsetting colours pleasing to look at, they are also an easy clue to allow users to know which slots to use to utilize the support for quad channel setups. To the bottom right of the RAM DIMMS on the left there is a 4-pin molex power connector, this is used to get power directly to the PCIe lanes when needed if using Crossfire or SLI graphics card configurations and above this is the massive LGA 2011-3 CPU socket. Taking a look at the right hand side of the motherboard from the top down we can see a Vertical Type A USB 2.0 port, 24-pin power connector port and 2 x front panel USB3.0 ports.
On to the bottom half of the board and there is a whole lot going on down here, let me tell you what! Over on the left hand side are the Killer E2200 and Purity Sound2, in the middle there are 3 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots and 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots. Just under the top PCI Express slot is the Ultra M.2 port and to the left of it are a number of different screw holes to use depending on the length/size of the M.2 SSD you may need to use on this board and to the right of this is the X99 chipset heatsink.
There are 10x SATA 3.0 6GBps ports for all your storage needs! Considering this is a Gaming board and storage capacities are always increasing this should be enough for most users needs.
