[section_title title=”Overclocking”]Overclocking

Though the Fatal1ty series from ASRock is more gamer based it still offers users a good set of tools for overclocking to make sure we can all get the most out of our hardware. Going through the BIOS and disabling the normal host of options one normally would when overclocking an Intel CPU everything was very straightforward.

I was easily able to obtain an overclock of 4.3GHz using 1.252 V, this seems to be about standard for the 5820K I have personally and as mentioned was reached without any issue. I did try to up the voltage quit a bit to hit 4.4 and while I could boot into Windows and surf the web, it was not stable and after about 10seconds of running prime 95 at 4.4GHz the PC would blue screen.
