Netgear are without a shadow of a doubt one of the biggest names in networking today. Since their formation in 1996, the American networking juggernaut has been ploughing out products like Kellogg’s produce cornflakes. These products include wireless routers, range extenders, network adapters and even data storage devices; too many products to name. Their reputation is preceded by the fact they are synonymous to networking products.
In saying that, their name and reputation won’t help them today as I am looking for performance, quality, design and overall usability over a particular “brand”. Today I will be taking a look at one of their leading wireless routers, the Netgear R6300 Smart Wi-Fi Router which features up to AC1750 speeds designed to provide the best Wi-Fi signal possible, wired Gigabit ports and is designed to provide the ultimate wireless range that shouldn’t leave you without Wi-Fi even in a rather large house. What Netgear have to say about the R6300:
Next generation Gigabit WiFi technology has arrived. Get 3x faster access and more reliable streaming for your home computers and mobile devices. Beamforming+ and dual band technology makes your gaming more extreme and your HD streaming smoother.
