Today we will be taking a look at the Decus Gaming mouse, a mid-range peripheral in the lineup by SpeedLink, that offers a very original design and plenty of features for a small price! The Decus is a higher specification device in the a series of mice from SpeedLink, a few examples of other mice in this range are the Svipa, Ledos, Prime Z-DW and Kudos Z-9. Progressively, the mice do range in specification from lower end to higher performance devices, the lower being the Svipa and higher being the Kudos Z-9. With the Decus being a mid to high specification mouse we do expect a lot from it and with a price tag of only £34.99 ($55.05), we cannot wait to see more from the German manufacturers at this price!

To start, what we have here is a Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 compatible plug and play mouse, with additional software for customising the mouse to your specification, that has been designed around gamers. With a comfortable grip, 5 different profiles that feature light configurations for easy visual referencing of the mode you are on, full programmable key mapping, 125 – 1,000 Hz polling rate, there isn’t much that the Decus is lacking as a standard gaming mouse with comparison to other brands out there. With that said, what we want to see is if these features stand their ground in quality and performance to alternative options on the market.
