Closer Look

The POSDEIDON Z has a fairly consistent black overall theme except for where the Tt eSPORTS logos are red and the key caps. The lettering/numbering on the key caps is white when the LEDs are not on to make sure they are still visible and of course this is also good for helping the blue of the LEDs shine through when they are on.

As mentioned there are Tt eSPORTS logos on the front of the keyboard but this is OK as they are not overdone. Also, just to the right of the Dragon is the key to disable the windows key. Being able to disable the windows key is a nice feature and is sure to go over well with gamers as there is nothing worse then mistakenly hitting the windows key in the middle of a battle only for your start menu to pop and by the time you get back into the game you’re dead.

The F1-F7 keys can also double up as media player keys, to use these just hit the “Fn” button to the right of the space bar then hit the corresponding F1-F7 key for your desired action and you’ll be good to go.

The back of the keyboard is quite plain as one would expect, it’s not going to be seen very much so not point in doing too much with it. There is a nice cable tidy to help direct the cable from the keyboard to your desired direction to help keep the top of your desk or work area clean.

There are 2 feet to help with the ergonomics of the POSEIDON Z. These are easily used by either just lifting them up or pushing them down when you no longer require them.

In the middle is all of the technical information but that will most likely be useless to most anyone but it needs to be there. There are the model and part numbers to help with the RMA process if needed as well as the FCC and some other relevant information.

The POSEIDON Z features Blue Kalih switches. The Kalih switches are different from the more well known “Cherry” switches though both of them are still mechanical switches. However, that is a story for another day!

There are 4 different brightness settings for the illumination of the LEDs. As you can see in the image below when they are on full brightness the light starts to reflect on the backplate as well giving a nice effect in a dark room.
