[section_title title=”Introduction”]Introduction

BitFenix are a hard company to keep track of these days, especially due to the impressive mark they have left on the entire PC orientated community.  With increasing popularity due to chassis releases such as the BitFenix Phenom and the Prodigy, exposure on numerous communities has been rife of late.  One thing that BitFenix pride themselves on is producing top quality products without costing the earth; something that is on most consumer’s agendas when purchasing a product.

BitFenix have a plethora of cases and plenty of case cooling options but they have recently branched out into a new component market; power supplies.  After teaming up with renowned power supply manufacturer FSP, they have frankensteined a new creation.

Today I will be taking a look at the BitFenix Fury 750G power supply which features an 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating, 750w maximum power output and more interestingly the inclusion of BitFenix Alchemy individually braided cables.  Will the Fury be a hit in an already over-crowded power supply market and more importantly, will it perform?  Let’s find out, starting with the specifications…

What BitFenix has to say about the Fury 750G power supply:

For a long time, the power supply is one part of the PC that users prefer to remain unseen. These dull, lifeless boxes were made to perform in the background, away from sight. Challenging the status quo, BitFenix set out to make a power supply that not only delivered on a performance level, but also utilized enough design elements to let it stand out in a system build. To that end, BitFenix announces the Fury Power Supply Series. Featuring top quality components like all Japanese capacitors, a killer design aesthetic, and top-notch efficiency, Fury is set to become the new gold standard in semi-modular power supply units.

Starting with the chassis, Fury brings a bold yet sophisticated design to the realm of power supplies. Both top and bottom are adorned with a stamped BitFenix logo, along with a custom aluminum ring accent that exudes an aggressive look no matter which direction you install it. Combined with a quality matte powder-coat finish, Fury is the first PC power supply that’s designed to enhance the look of your system.
