Conclusion
Well, after a good few weeks of using the KitSound Clash Evolution headphones I am ready to give you all my final verdict on how well they held up. Here goes!
Audio Quality
The audio quality is rather impressive and shows just how far technology is coming along in this day and age. While there was a bit of distortion at the highest of volume obtained through the Clash Evolution headphones, this really is to be expected on almost and audio device of the sort and turning the volume down a couple of clicks alleviates the problem.
The Clash Evolution headphones offer crisp, clean and clear mids and highs when the volume is not maxed out. It is easy to hear all the different sounds and instruments from your favourite songs and being able to distinguish the differences allows for a better all around listening experience. If the music you enjoy is not bass heavy, you will have no problems being able to decipher all the sounds from favourite band, artist, or even if you just enjoy some calming nature sounds, the Clash Evolution headphones will not let you down.
Speaking of the bass, the bass from these headphones is rather impressive given the physical size of them. While they do feature 40mm drivers, looks can surely be deceiving and when looking at these headphones, users may not expect much due to their size. However, as we all know, we can be wrong a lot of the time and judge things to quick. While the bass is not going to make your ears bleed, it is more than enough to be enjoyed while listening to your favourite song. Listening to some hip-hop and the bass was nice and loud, but not too loud as to drown out the rest of the music which can sometimes happen.
When all is said and done, the audio quality offered from the Clash Evolution will give users a good all around listening experience.
Bluetooth Quality
There is no denying Bluetooth capabilities have come a long way since first introduced. In most cases, users making the most of these headphones will more than likely be using their phone, which will be in their hand or in a pocket. However, the Clash Evolutions headphones are rated to function up to 12M away from the Bluetooth device they are connected to and I must say, I don’t see there being any problems there, as long as you are in sight of them. What I mean, is, if in the house and you try to go into another room, or, up the stairs, you may loose connectivity which is really quite common on your standard Bluetooth devices, at least in my experience anyways.
Aesthetics
When it comes to the looks, what is not to love; the Clash Evolution headphones offer a very pleasing aesthetic. The leather headband offers a feel of supreme quality and when coupled with the brushed aluminium earcups, you really have a winning combination. One of the other things that also bodes well for them, is, if you’re not a fan of black, they also come in silver and blue. Having multiple colours easily purchasable is always a big advantage for companies, especially when the product is going to be displayed on ones head when in use. The quality design, look and feel of the headphones is sure to be a good conversation starter on your next train or bus journey as they are sure to catch the eyes of passers bye!
Would we buy?
Simply put, yes! The KitSound Evolution Clash headphones offer great sound and performance and do so while not comprising on design. The brushed aluminium ear cups and leather headband look amazing together and really give off that high-quality vibe. If you are in the market for some new headphones and prefer those on the on-ear orientation, you should definitely consider taking a look at these as they will not disappoint. While some may find the price a bit higher than they would like, coming in at around £75, they also come with a nice hard carry case to help protect them which also further adds to their value.
Gold Award –Â Today I will be awarding the Clas Evolution headphones with our Gold Award based on the fact they offer great performance in an aesthetically pleasing package. They offer a great all-around listening experience and the battery life will see you through the day in most cases, making them a great choice for your next journey.
Big thanks go out to KitSound for sending their Clash Evolution headphones in for review.
