Audio and Graphics
The graphics stand above most current VR experiences, while still being average when viewed on a monitor. Brookhaven benefits from higher quality artwork than most VR titles. This works both ways, though, the increased fidelity helps with immersion but any low-quality assets, such as guns, stand out more.
The environments appear to have been given some love and attention to detail, lighting being turned down low to enhance the sense of tension. To walk through hiding from creatures would be fantastic, unfortunately, you are limited to your room scale setup. There is no real reason to move from where you stand apart from fear and the game doesn’t support more than just standing in one spot.
Sound design is crucial in a VR wave shooter like this. Being able to know where your enemies are is important to survive. Brookhaven again provides decent, but not outstanding audio, enabling you to pinpoint the directions creatures are coming at you from. What you don’t know is how far they are from you as every creature seems to be the same distance acoustically. It’s an annoyance as you have no idea which targets to prioritise as they all have the same audio cues.
