Conclusion

Particle Fleet: Emergence is one of those games that you pick up on the off chance it’s good and then realise the weekend has passed you by as you play “just one more level”. I’m not sure how many ‘destroy the never ending flood’ type games there are, but I’ve not seen one outside of Knucklecracker’s game, and that’s a good thing. Playing something different, that’s fun and exciting. The way fluid dynamics have been repurposed for a gameplay mechanic instead of another river is refreshing.

Thanks to it’s level editor and skirmish map generator there is a seemingly never ending supply of levels to play after the story has finished. And it’s one of those games where you will want to play more after completing the story. It’s definitely worth the current price, I just wish I could play against my friends as well as single player.
